Week 7, Saturday evening

[ Mikami hasn't emerged from his room even once since the end of the executions and the complete wreckage of the ballroom. When he does come out he at least superficially looks a little better than he has since Friday morning - for one, he's properly dressed. His expression is distant however.

Since there are so few people left in the hotel, he hardly expected to actually run into anybody and that is very fine by him. Not talking to people sounds... great actually.

He'll just head into the mail room and get back his evidence stuff and... He pauses as he sees Aki's scrapbook. He's looked at it so many times before, but he never had any specific feelings on it until now. Maybe he should just...

And that's when the room is entered by a second person and he freezes. ]

... ah, Matou-san. Hello.

Week 5 - Monday, sometime shortly after 9pm

[ Saying goodnight to Aki has become a short little habit since Hazama happened, but today Mikami feels a little sick knocking at her door - and it's neither because of the poison nor because he just dealt with a poisoned Sting. The culprit are paperclips in his room instead. ]

Aki-chan? It's me, Mikami. We might have to talk a little longer today.

Week 5 - Monday, 8:30pm

[ This motive sucks, but at least the new floor is.... agreeable which is why Mikami is determined to spend as much time as possible in his room. Today investigation and Hazama annoyance has made that impossible, but at last he's back--

To find Sting has beaten him to the punch of being there. ]

You can stop knocking, I'm over here actually.

Week 3 - Wednesday, 11am

[ Double murder. As if to compensate for the absence of death in the last three days.

With how miserably Mikami's week is already going, the only thing he's got left to feel is complete numbness. After the various events surrounding the bodies are over with, he makes way to the mail room to get yet another box to flatten into a poster for alibi collecting. Idly he wonders if they were going to run out eventually.

Then he heads to the ballroom and sets to make his already gigantic poster wall even larger than before, sighing every other moment. The fact that Kevin is barely acknowledged yet. ]

Week 3 - Monday, 4:30pm, Ballroom

[ Mikami had everything laid out so nicely and organizedly when he started collecting alibis and he somehow should have known that it would not go at all as he planned.
Thursday he'd gone to sleep thinking he'd interrogate Top Dollar about his lack of alibi immediately after his check round on the next morning. Except on Friday he woke up to a chopped up corpse and a lengthy investigation. And then the next day trial and betrayal and... the weekend was a mess, suffice to say.

And then Monday is too, but by the afternoon, Mikami is ready to put that aside for a moment to do his overdue duty. He's hesitant about approaching a suspect on his own, but the ballroom is a public area and people are passing through all the time at this time of day. If Top Dollar shot him then he'd be caught for it immediately. ]

Saturday - after the execution

[ After having gotten Aki out of the ballroom and parting with her, Mikami heads straight to his room to sit on his futon and contemplate matters in silence. It's really too bad they don't have desks inside their rooms, because he'd feel a lot better if he was sitting on a chair, but alas. The need for privacy outweighs the need for proper seating this morning.

His notebook is on his lap, but he's not really looking at it. When Sting comes in he idly lifts his head. ]

I didn't think you'd be back in here so early.

Week 1- Tuesday, late morning

[ After having sighted some of the security camera footage in the mail room, Mikami moves through the halls rather thoughtfully. It had been known and apparent before that they were video-taped, but it leaves a different feeling to have seen the tapes himself and know they are accessible not only to their kidnappers but also every fellow kidnapp-ee. Musing about this, Mikami's on his way up the stairs and from then to the restaurant as he spots Aki, whom he acknowledges with a nod. ]
