Week 1- Tuesday, late morning
[ After having sighted some of the security camera footage in the mail room, Mikami moves through the halls rather thoughtfully. It had been known and apparent before that they were video-taped, but it leaves a different feeling to have seen the tapes himself and know they are accessible not only to their kidnappers but also every fellow kidnapp-ee. Musing about this, Mikami's on his way up the stairs and from then to the restaurant as he spots Aki, whom he acknowledges with a nod. ]

[She does start blinking as she thinks. She uses the time period of putting away the book, to gather her thoughts, because he has reminded her of something that was on her mind.]
I thought the PIN system on the lockers was kinda weird and cheap. Have you used it, sir? You put into the keypad, 1234, and then it locks, and then if you put 1234 again, it'll open, but after that you could use another keycode on the same locker, 5678, and it'll be the same way, you put in 5678 and then it's totally unlocked.
I mean, it works okay, but if we can have our own tablets and keycards and everything, why not just assign everyone their own locker and their own password to use all the time?

Since this place is designed to invite us to commit crimes, Chavez likely planned in 'appealing' spots to hide evidence.
Until we crack a locker code, valuable time may have passed, and even if we do it will be hard to confirm who has used the locker last. Having such a cheap trick available is possibly meant to encourage potential criminals and make them feel they have options to get away with their deeds.
[ Ooor it was just because Sandra doesn't care one way or another, but considering how carefully constructed this hotel is to not give them a way out, Mikami is willing to believe there is thought behind this as well. ]

[Her eyebrows go way up.]
It's true that a culprit could just dump lots of evidence in the locker. There are a lot of lockers, haha... I guess that there could even be more than one culprit. But if we each had our own locker and refused to open it, that'd be pretty obvious, right?
[Dismayed at the thought of so many people going for a motive, Aki scrambles for an alternative solution. Some way to make herself feel validated for her ingenuity.] Maybe we should pick out our own lockers so they can't hide stuff without looking suspicious, then!
