That's because he's boring and only eats cake on special occasions. But he really likes matcha sponge cake, trust me.

[She says, rolling up her sleeves and turning on the tap to wash her hands.]

[ That at least convinces Teru to put on the apron he's been holding skeptically. Flour on clothes is not allowed. ]

[Scrubby scrub. Tap goes off and she wipes her hands on a kitchen towel. Turning to give Teru a glance, she tries not to raise an eyebrow at the fact that he's seriously bothering with the apron.]

Um, I think it was something about eggs...? Wait just a sec!

[She goes off to the living room where she's left her bag and returns brandishing a print out recipe in hand.]

[ He takes the time she's out of the room to wash his hands as well. Now with clean fingers, he takes the recipe and a few moments of very intent study follow.
A careful look goes to the eggs that have just been taken out of the fridge... will they reach room temperature in time? ]

Starting on combining flour and matcha is what we actually need to do.

Right! I'll weigh out the flour!

[She grabs a bowl and sets it on the scales. Hitting tare moments later, she picks up the bag of flour and without too much precision begins weighing out the flour. It's pretty clear she doesn't care for exact numbers; close enough will do.]

[ He stares at that procedure for a second before clearing his throat. ]

It says 80 grams.

[ You know, just to add emphasis to that. That's what it says. Sayu doubtlessly has more baking experience than him, but the recipe can't lie, right? ]
