[ Teru had not been thinking of it as distraction, it is merely that when he can feel the many small but notable ways in which Light is reacting favorably to his attention, he has a hard time stopping himself. Any noise Light lets out may be muted, but the significance is nevertheless not lost on Teru. Light loves what Teru is doing to him and this feels, somehow, like the result of hard work. All those times fumbling around, not knowing what they were doing, clinging to each other in pain... Teru had thought of sex as frivolous for a long time, but now he's reaping fruits of his emotional and physical labor. There may be some worth to that.
